A look inside
These are the words I would teach you in your first weeks: the ones you need to greet people, ask simple questions, order a coffee and find your way. Learn them in small groups, say each one out loud, and you will already be able to hold a tiny conversation.
The stressed vowel is shown in colour in the Ukrainian (дякую) and the stressed syllable is written in capitals in the pronunciation (DYA-ku-yu). Stress in Ukrainian is free, so learn it together with the word — it is the quickest way to sound natural.
