Every lesson is one-to-one on Zoom or Google Meet — whichever you prefer. We focus on real conversation from day one: a warm-up chat, the topic or skill you're working on, exercises with corrections as we go, and a short recap. I weave grammar in through conversation and use real materials — songs, articles, social media posts. After the lesson you get notes and new words, and you can message me between lessons if questions come up.
Yes, both. Many of my students start from zero, and many grew up hearing Ukrainian at home but never learned it formally. We start exactly where you are, with no pressure, and turn what you understand into things you can actually say.
Just a computer or tablet with internet and a quiet place to talk. I provide all the materials, exercises and resources, and send anything digital before or after each lesson. A notebook is welcome if you like writing by hand.
Homework is optional. I always offer exercises and materials to practise between lessons — do them if you have the time, skip them if you don't. Practising between lessons speeds things up, but I'll never pressure you.
Honestly, it depends on where you start, how often we meet and how much you practise between lessons. As a rough guide, most students with regular lessons can hold simple everyday conversations after two to three months. In the trial lesson I'll give you a realistic picture for your own goal.
Yes. Whether it's the Ukrainian state language proficiency exam, a university test or a work requirement, I'll build a study plan around it. Tell me what you're preparing for and when, and we'll plan backwards from your exam date.
I mainly teach adults (18+), and I'm happy to work with motivated teenagers from 16. For younger children I'd recommend a tutor who specialises in teaching kids.

Message me on Instagram (@alin.a.zelinska) and tell me a little about your goals. We'll agree on a time that suits you — I teach students in many time zones — and I'll send you the Zoom or Google Meet link. While I'm fully booked, the same message puts you on my waitlist, and I'll write to you as soon as a place opens up. You pay only after we've agreed on a time.
Yes — the 30-minute trial lesson is the best place to start. We get to know each other, I check your level, and we put together a plan. There's no commitment afterwards.
Just let me know at least 24 hours in advance and we'll find a new time. If a technical problem cuts a lesson short, we'll reschedule the remaining time at no charge.
If you're not satisfied after your first lesson, I'll refund you — no questions asked. For lesson packages, unused lessons can be refunded within 30 days of purchase. I want you to feel confident in your investment!
Payment is through PayPal, including credit and debit cards, and only after we've agreed on a lesson time. Prices are in euros; you can pay from a dollar, pound or other account, and PayPal or your bank converts at the current rate. The currency selector on the booking page only shows an approximate conversion. The 5-lesson pack already includes a discount.
